Sailing is for Life.
Sailing is a set of skills learned for life.
Resilience. Problem solving. Teamwork.
Every sailor can recall how skills learned on the water resonate in life off the water. Those who have the opportunity to learn to sail have a priceless gift that lasts a lifetime.
We believe that the opportunity to learn these skills should be accessible to more young people. We saw how many sailing centres were so close to schools, and how many schools hold these skills as their core values - they just needed a way to connect.
The Sail Up Foundation was created with the idea of building relationships between schools and their local sailing clubs to support sustainable sailing programs for young people, and not just token one-time experiences. Our priority is removing barriers to participation and encouraging as many young people to take part in the sport we love.
Sailing is a set of skills for life, and we believe that all young people deserve the opportunity to learn and challenge themselves on the water.
